Who is Filip Melvan?
Filip Melvan is a Serbian composer and music director for Michael Ghelfi Studios. His experience of over 10 years in the music industry started in high school as a piano player and with a passion for songwriting.
Filip enrolled in the Academy of Arts to study sound design, but decided to explore other paths after 3 years. He embarked on an extensive journey to study music in film, television, and many other types of media.
Filip, the Sailor
Filip took a break after dedicating a lot of time and effort to studying and writing music, seeking to pursue a challenging and exciting direction in life. So, at the age of 25, Filip had become a sailor!
As a sailor, Filip navigated the Danube River all the way from Austria to the Romanian Black Sea for a few years. Undoubtedly, this was a very transformative experience that taught him the values of persistence and discipline.
Filip Melvan and TTRPG
Upon completing his sailing journey, Filip returned to music composition and discovered tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG). Soon, Filip started a major TTRPG project and composed the official soundtrack (OST) for Black Void. A major success!
Eventually, Filip founded Tabletop Music Bazaar and dedicated himself to music composition tailored for TTRPG. Through his skill and style, he quickly gaining recognition.
Shortly after, Filip had received another major TTRPG project, a comission to compose the OST for The Omega Horizon.
Joining a studio
In 2021, Filip joined efforts with Swiss composer Michael Ghelfi, forming a partnership that would revolutionize the TTRPG scenario.
Currently, Filip's contribution spans over five hundred songs—ranging from publicly available to private campaigns and many other projects. He also started writing music for video games!
