Types of TTRPG Audio

• Ambiences: Atmospheric, non-musical loops made with sound effects. They are also called soundscapes or acoustic environments.

• Songs: Divided between exclusive (Patreon*) and non-exclusive (Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, and more) with no overlap*. On Patreon, we offer our very special monthly "Adventure Themes", which are 30 minutes tracks in a specific theme. Furthermore, we offer track variations, such as loops, piano, etc.

Sound effects: Short sounds (2-60s), including explosions, spells, magic, laser guns, and much more. SFX are only available on Patreon.*

Opus contains 100% of our audio. Read below.

How To Use Every Audio

YouTube video

Ambiences, songs, and SFX are meant to be used together, just like a video game. We officially recommend using Opus, which has our entire audio collection—Opus is a collaboration between MGS and dScryb.

Layers: Some ambiences are called "layers", meaning that they can be played at the same time as another ambience (e.g. most rain ambiences). This simplifies your experience and allows greater customization.

• Indoor/Perspective: Other ambiences are called "Indoor" or "Perspective", which places you in a specific environment. For example, "Medieval City Indoor" is set on the inside of a building during daytime. Plus, it is also layer ambience.
